Tropical Depression Eleven-e

August 22, 2009

Just a heads up on a depression that has just formed near the 140 degree West division between Eastern and Central Pacific. Eleven-e is about 1100 miles away from Kihei and traveling west at 9mph sustained winds of 35 mph traveling west at 4:00 AM HST
I am mentioning this now because it formed near the beginning of Central Pacific area, it is forecast to travel in warmer waters than past recent storms and it is forecast to intensify over the next few days.

I’ll issue a “charge your batteries” when conditions warrant.
