S.A.V.E. Program

The S.A.V.E.(Scientific Analysis and Visualization of theEnvironment)Program was created in 1989,at the request of Silicon Graphics principal engineers, with a charter of aiding scientists in environmental research through the use of Silicon Graphics technology.

The Maui S.A.V.E. Program continues today, no longer utilizing SGI hardware and software.

In 2011 we have switched to utilizing MacBook Pro Dual & Quad Core Intel based laptops enabling rapid deployment to environmental disaster sites. Capabilities include setup of wireless 4G broadband hotspots, live video conferencing, Internet broadcasts  and online monitoring of environmental disasters in Hawaii.

We use a Sony AVCHD video camera in our field work for capture and broadcast use.

Our work is posted online to numerous Internet sites highlighting Hawaii environmental and cultural issues and leaders in their respected fields. To  learn more visit http://about.me/paulhugel
